Has anyone ordered anything from OCUK and had the number of the house missing on the delivery address so the item couldn't be delivered?
I was suppose to get a monitor delivered today via DPD, when the time came I got a notification saying could not deliver due to the fact that the number of house was missing of the address.
I checked on OCUK and my address seems correct so I have no idea on how this happened. I've messaged OCUK about this, just waiting for a reply.
Kind of concerning as I have a gaming pc on order, and I don't want this to happen again.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue.

I've not had this from ocuk before, but a while ago a courier was struggling to deliver my package because the label that had been printed had gone off the edge of the sticker so there wasn't a house number, and I think the delivery system he was using apparently only had postcodes for each parcel ir something

I'll poke an ocuk person, but your best bet is to use the contact page and drop them a note or ring them on Monday.

It shouldn't happen, and I've never had it happen with OCUK but as with GreatAuk I have had it happen in the past with other deliveries.
Basically it can be the address hasn't printed properly on the label (offset/ink or toner run out, or a thermal label has got too warm), the label is damaged*, or there has been another issue (although I would have thought the code the courier scans would give the details), I suspect it can also happen if the courier runs out of time and doesn't have an option to put that down as I've known couriers to use "sorry we missed you" with a photo of a traffic jam.

Overclockers will sort it, but it might delay delivery by a day or two :(

*I had that happen with an expensive LE item from the states, the house number and part of the street address was rubbed off the label (fortunately the delivery office held the package and found it when I popped in).

I’m waiting for a parcel from Evri, they reckoned it was out for delivery today between 8:30 to 10:30 got the notification email at 9:45. Well surprise surprise it did not come by 10:30 and in fact as of 16:13 it still hasn’t arrived.

I don’t even think the bloke who does local deliveries for them even works on a Saturday. It will be interesting to see what the next tracking update says.

I've spoken to DPD about it and they updated the address, so it'll (hopefully ) get delivered tomorrow as now scheduled. I'm more concerned about the tower being delivered when that's shipped. Don't want this hassle again especially with some that expensive.

Now I've got
"Your parcel has been delayed due to an unexpected issue. We'll try again tomorrow"

What the absolute **** is going on?
I highly considering cancelling my pc order if OCUK use DPD and this is how DPD handle the items. I don't have trust in this at all!

It’ll arrive on Monday - DPD have limited slots on a Sunday so chances are they had no availability.

DPD are absolutely dire, but hopefully they’ll come through with the goods.
I got a very sick sense of satisfaction when I cancelled our contract with them at work and went with FedEx instead!

I've messaged OCUK about my pc order saying I want it cancelled if they choose to ship it with DPD, I don't have confidence in DPD at all. Was speaking to them early and they couldn't even say why it was cancelled/delayed for today's delivery.
I really don't want to cancel my order for the gaming PC as I really like it but I just don't want to risk it with DPD handling the delivery.

DPD are normally one of the better couriers and many of the other retailers use them for the same reason OCUK do (low loss/damage/total failure rates), personally I've found them much better than some of the much more expensive couriers (I can never remember if it's UPS or FedEx whose system always seems at least 12 hours behind on updates, and has repeatedly told me to "expect delivery by end of Monday 1st" on Wednesday 3rd etc;)).

As has been said they'll have extremely limited slots for a Sunday delivery, and likely very few staff in today, as Sunday is not a normal working day for most couriers (I didn't even realise DPD did Sundays).
