I ordered a new CPU from overclockers and was suppose to reicieve it on Thursday however it was due to arrive hull depot on Thursday and be delivered that day however I recieved an update saying the parcel was at the North London Depot

The update said "there's a delay with your parcel and has now been sorted" I contacted DPD directly and they said it would be moved on Friday and is now due to be delivered Friday.

However I woke up this morning to see that it still at the north London depot even though around 1am it said it was on its way to the Hull depot, I called once again and they said they have been having issues on their end and will now be delivered on Monday.

I was just wondering whether anyone has had similar issues with DPD and what would be the likely that the parcel is lost as this is the first time I have ever had issues with DPD

Could well be lost but they’ll likely take forever to admit it. Your best bet is contacting OcUK customer service and having them chase dpd as the contract for delivery is between OcUK and dpd

I will give them a call now and see what they say really irritating, would overclockers send a new order out if it's the case that the order is lost or if there taking the mick

Update* contacted overclockers and they said they will get in contact with DPD and see what's going on in terms of a delay as they have been trying to push it along to go to the Goole depot so it can be shipped from their to my address.

I asked if the parcel has been potentially lost however the guy told me that wouldn't be the case as the parcel has been scanned at the depot and there is tracking information still been update

Happened to the Mrs. She ordered something, 3-5 day delivery window and it arrived yesterday, 5 weeks after the order date.

Like your, she got the delay notification. After a week she spoke to the retailer who chased it up. Retailer was given the same excuse "there's a delay" up to last week (4 weeks after they'd taken possession) when DPD finally admitted it was lost.

Retailer reshipped the order, using another courier.

That is shocking i am really surprised as DPD have been spot on when it comes to delivering when i have ordered through ***other companies***, I am glad that your Mrs ended up getting what she ordered in the end.

I think if it doesn't come Monday as they will have the whole weekend to get this prepared and shipped to my local depot i may just see if they can send a replacement as it doesn't help when you have to take days off work to wait in for a parcel that may or may not arrive its just irritating

As a shipper we get this regularly, depends on the attitude of the parcel sorter at the depot that day as to where the parcels end up, or completely vanish. A delay which has been sorted has usually missed the lorry for the next trip or placed on the wrong lorry to an alternative depot where it has been scanned and should be re-directed. If it's still at a depot for more than 3 working days that's where we'd start our concerns and make alternate arrangements with the customer. It happens with all couriers unfortunately.

Yeah I will just have to see what the movement is with the tracking info over the weekend if there is any and hopefully the parcel comes on Monday however I probably wont be holding my breath, just sucks especially when your buying items that aren't cheap either

Yep, when you’re delivering many millions of parcels per year, there’s bound to be human or even system errors along the way.

I’ve never had an issue with Amazon right enough. DPD is generally spot on for residential but when I had my office, it was hit or miss sometimes.

Update* called DPD this morning as the last update was on Saturday morning at 2am stating that the parcel is on its way to the Hull Depot, which was encouraging however I didn't hear anything else since as its been 24 hours I called DPD and surprise surprise they told me that the parcel hasn't been moved and it's been missrouted again as its now showing its in Birmingham and hasn't been scanned since Saturday!

They have told me I need to contact overclockers about the situation and raise it with their platinum team, I just have the feeling it's lost and they won't tell me as I did ask the question on the phone if it's likely it could be lost however all they said was it's been missrouted.

Because so much time has gone by and I was suppose to recieve this last Thursday what's the likely hood of overclockers sending me a brand new order as I am getting fed up.

Stop messing about with DPD as said your contract is with OcUK so get in contact with them ASAP as they're the only ones who can resolve this.

What's the rush? Is it being a little late going to impact your life so much?
