So i've got a full system getting built at the moment and i put down Wednesday as the delivery date.

Problem is my wife who will be in the house has told me she needs to pop out at some point so i'm wondering how the couriers that ocuk use, work.

Like will i get a timeslot or is it a case of staying in the full day to be safe?

Or if you get an estimated time, is it safe enough to pop out or can it be way out?

Thanks

I have not had a time estimate when I have had a delivery before so I doubt you will get this. I don't know how DPD decide what is delivered when but out of 5 deliveries the latest I have has was 8:15 am which I love but could be later if you delivery is towards the end of the day obviously. From having other things delivered through DPD if they can't deliver it on wednesday they will try again on thursday before leaving a note for you to collect it at the depot.

Ok, thanks for the response. Just need to tell the missus she may be out of luck! She was wanting to head out in the morning.

You can track parcel on DPD site with the reference you get and then it will tell you an estimate. Mine have always been very accurate.

Just be careful if it is delivered when not at home, I missed my first delivery and left a note for them to leave the package in my back garden in a covered place for the following day, only to come home and find £400+ worth of computer gear left on my front doorstep!
Apparently it had been sitting there for 3 hours and I was furious.

My advice is to get it delivered to your work place or someone who doesn't mind holding on to the package if nobody is in to sign for the package on the day.

DPD have the time estimate on their tracking site by about 9 to 9.30 and so far it's been accurate.
