As title really.
I'm in the market to replace my LG 1710S and I quite like the look of the Dell monitor, but only in its 8ms flavour.
OCUK got any comment on which they stock, or has anyone who ordered one recently got an idea? Cheers

EDIT: bah, just had a quick search and looks like its luck of the draw, and OCUK wont check. Real useful. No way Im risking £300 of my money...back to the drawing board it is.

I cant answer either of your questions directly however......

OCUK wont be able to answer, as they wont open each seperate box for understandable reasons.

What I can tell you is months and months ago I ordered two 1905FP's direct from Dell and they were BOTH 8ms ones, so I very much doubt OCUK would have any of the older variety. They are an excellent price and a wonderful monitor so Go For It if I were you

a LOT of people have bought it recently from OcUK and received the 8ms, but it does seem a few 20ms models are still going out. Impossible to tell, you'd have to risk it and maybe rely on the distance selling act to return it if you weren't happy.

Anyone Know what cables come with these monitors, I'm very temped to buy one from OCUK ASAP, Just need to know if i need any additional cables.
Got a Radeon 9800 pro if it makes a diffrence and the VGA port is connected to my TV anyway.

I don't play games that much but i do play Pro Evo soccer 4 and 5 a fair bit, Rarly ever FPS.

Even So by the sound of it' I'd be very unlucky to get a 20ms version anyway, but viewing angles, web browsing and video playback are my priorities anyhow.

Edit

Ordered it, will mention which version i get when it arrives.

I can officaly say that i am nowanother happy Dell 1905FP owner with the AUO 19 8ms panel :D.

So far it's look great but the stand tilt doesn't want to straighten up properly

Good to hear, hoctagon :D .

Thanks for getting all this great info in one place Baddass, probably wouln't of made a choise without it.

Also it would make sence seeing as 20ms panels are hard to get now enough so dell will eventualy be putting out only 8ms pannels sooner or later. You'd have to be dammed unlucky to get a 20ms pannel from new stock but it doesn't mean they arn't out there still.
