Hello all,

50% of the time when i turn on my PC, the monitor does not display the screen, and only shows blackness (it does not go into standby as if it was not receiving a signal, the power LED does go to Green). When this happens the PC continues to boot and the screen still doesn't show anything even when the PC has booted into windows.

I have to reset the machine and it might work 2nd time, or may require more attempts. The common factor when it works is that the PC beeps about 3 seconds after restarting.

I changed my graphics card from a X850XTPE to a X1800XT and this still didn't change anything. I then thought it was a motherboard/BIOS issue until recently when i found a new problem:

I left the PC on a while and the screen went into standby, upon my return and wiggling the mouse/pressing of keys to awaken it, it did not return the desktop to the screen (it did come out of standby but showed nothing again). This has not happened before now.

Any ideas as to what maybe causing this?

Thanks

Hm no one seems to be able to help :(

Have you tried the monitor on a different computer?

Isn't the 2001WFP quite old now? It just sounds like it's dying tbh, but there must be other things you can try before throwing it in a skip.

Anyone else have any other ideas?
