Hi guys, just recieved my new dell monitor today and its top notch quality with the pc (DVI) and 360 (VGA). There is however some blacklight bleed on top left corner which is noticeable when Im watching some movies. I know blacklight bleed is a very common issue with all lcd's but is it acceptable for it too bleed so early in first day? If not? Should I return and and get a replacement? Mind you I bought it off an ebay seller

Curious that you mention it bleeding 'so early' - I don't think it's something that varies over time. My 2007WFP has a little backlight unevenness and it's the same now as it was the day I got it.

I recently returned an LCD TV (highstreet retailer not OcUK) for backlight bleed and the replacement I got (same make/model) was 100% better, so in generaly I think you should try to get a screen changed if you're not happy with it. Only you can say how bad it is and whether you find it acceptable though.

This might sound silly, But what does the 3 year warranty look like? All I got was the DVI, VGA, Power cable, a CD and a poster showing how to setup the monitor. Can anyone tell me how I have proof of warranty?

There's a serial number on the box (and there should also be an 'un-peeled' one in the box), that's what the service people will ask for.

I think since you got it from an auction site, you'll probably just need the serial number from the back of the monitor for returns/replacements. There's no proof of 'warranty' document as such. You might find you need to go through your auction site seller to get the screen swapped.

yes i know, trying to get it swapped now. Its a fantastic monitor I must say, there is no bleed apart from the top left corner which looks very noticeable. also noticed a dead pixel :p Not too worried about that as the bleed is concerning me more as I can easily see it when im watching movies and is off putting.
