I got my new monitor a few hours ago and it is excellent playing games on windows but when I connect my 360 via VGA I get fuzzy lines when a player moves on Pro Evo. Ive heard of this monitor having "banding" issues but tbh I don't really know what banding is.

I prefer to play my 360 using my SD tv as its more convenient so this fuzzy picture problem doesn't bother me much, however I would still like to know if theres anything I can do to fix it. I think it is the A03 version if thats any help.

Banding is when colour gradients aren't smooth (they are banded), not something you would notice in a football game. Anyway you only get banding in multimedia and gaming modes, not in desktop mode, so leave the screen in desktop mode the whole time. You'll find those settings in image settings in the OSD.

There is another problem with this screen, well it's not a problem with the screen per se, but the 360 VGA cable does have some feint wavey lines on it, and the 2007WFP seems to bring them out more than most other screens. With contrast on default (50) the lines are feint and not especially noticeable though. Could check your contrast setting.

Sounds like your problem is something else though since you say it only happens when players move. Don't have Pro Evo, so never used that on my 2007WFP. Do you get similar problems with any other games? Might just be that Pro Evo doesn't use anti-aliasing.

Could try a different resolution. Best one for the 2007WFP would be 1280*1024 and then set screen format to 'wide'. Remember you need to use the screens auto-adjust at least once when using VGA (and again every time you change resolution or device).

Ill try using different resolutions to see if that helps. How do I change the contrast settings?

Also what are your brightness settings? Mine is on 100 as 50 seems too low.

I use brightness 50, contrast 50, which are both the default settings. You change both in the OSD, but contrast is unavailable over DVI (on all monitors). You'll only get a contrast setting when using VGA.

Well it seems my monitor is broken already, I was swivelling it and the picture turned all red, I tried resetting to factory defaultls with no luck. The VGA picture is fine just the DVI that is messed up. RMA time?
