Dell 2007WFP problems

On the left hand side i have a pink line, regardless what i play/do.
I think the picture is a little bit to the right but i cant find the controls to move it to the left a bit to cover the pink line.I have a Nvidia Geforce 7900 GTX,
or is my monitor damaged?
Any help would be much appreicated,

I think the monitor is damaged.

I would also change the "Is my monitor" section of your paragraph. THere is no hidden swearies

Try the monitor on a mates PC, OR use a PS2/xbox/cube/360 thru composite or svideo or VGA to see if the problem still happens.

i am not so sure, because when i use the PBP setting the line only exists on the smaller display of the windows desktop not at the side of the screen which i would expect it to be
It also isnt there in the post, only when windows has loaded up.

In windows i tried all sorts of resolutions but it still is presant, it also is there when i run games.

I will get my laptop when its done defragging and give that a go later

ok this is really wierd,
i upgraded my nvidia drivers and reset the monitor to factory adn the line is gone :S
