can someone with this monitor please tell me what its like for watching videos on and gaming.

the response time is 16ms, can u notice while gaming? like is there any ghosting?

and whats the PBP feature like, can u have 1 side DVI other VGA? (1 laptop other pc would be sweet) (what rez is set for each side?)

and how does it compare to the samsung 226bw?

im stuck inbetween picking from these 2 monitors. they're both prity much same price.

It's 16 ms ISO and 8 ms GTG, plus Dell rate their screens quite conservatively. It's the same Philips IPS panel as the NEC LCD20WGX2 which NEC rate at 6 ms. It's a very quick screen and fine for gaming. I've owned two other 8 ms screens and the Dell is far quicker than both of them.

It's not too bad for movies, although no TFT monitor is exactly great for movies. It's very much like an LCD TV - feed it a high quality signal and it looks great, feed it junk and it looks junk. It brings out noise and compression more than say a CRT would.

You can't have DVI/VGA PIP, you can only use the minor inputs for your PIP 2nd source.

The main difference with something like the Samsung is the IPS panel in the Dell has better viewing angles.

get the dell, its great, no ghosting, and watching dvds on it is great, although i mainly watch them on my hdtv. for a pc monitor it is awesome!

I got one direct from Dell today, its an A04 revision - looks good so far got two machines on it one using DVI other on VGA. I can't really tell too much difference between the two.

Haven't tried the pip yet.

Had 2 A03 screens and used the latest one for over 3000 hours now in games/movies/photoshop.

Much better than any CRT (Lacie 22" Electron Blue, Dell trinitron 17", LG Flatron 17") I've used before for prolonged usage and miles better than competing cheaper 20"/22" screens.

No ghosting anywhere.

Go for it!

PiP works fine btw, no real issues.
