does this monitor do HD? ive got the option of switching on various HD bits in the ATI tools:
720p60
1080i30
1080p

but it says i could damage a screen if i add one the screen cannot do, just wondering which it can.

its a x1800xt by the way.

im not too sure i have a 2007WFP i dont think it can do HD time to find my manual

There's no point in setting your graphics card to output a HD standard when your screen is 1680x1050@60Hz natively, and fully supported over VGA/DVI.

I think the damage warning is just a disclaimer, I've messed around with various screens and never managed to damage them.

Yeah HD is just a set of high resolutions, nothing more, and 720p (1280*720) is a lot lower resolution than 1680*1050, so there's no point in using it really. It will also look a little blurry when upscaled to fill the screen, whereas 1680*1050 will be pin sharp.
