I bought this monitor a couple of weeks ago.
I am generally impressed with the monitor over my samsung.
I do however have one niggling issue, which when i checked on Dells support site, is a known issue.
It's similar to the old CRT days when you got screen burn in.
If I surf the net for anything over an hour and then close all windows and just have the desktop, I can see a ghost image of the top of the browser window (lines and boxes etc).
I basically see a faint image of the top right boxes (minimise, maximise, etc) and lines where the edge of the window box was.
Rebooting machine or monitor does not get rid of this annoying ghost image.
I've never seen this issue on any other LCD monitor.
Dell suggest exercising the panel for anywhere from 1hour to days....... using the built in function on the monitor called 'LCD conditioning'.
I had to run it for at least 2 hrs to remove the ghost image but after another hour of web surfing, its back....
So I'm asking other owners of this model if they have had this issue?????
Also, does anyone know if it's a trait of a e-ips type of panel. I've also noticed that the screen gets very hot compared to my old samsung, probably due to this type of panel.
