Whats the difference between the 2407wfp, dell 2407 wfp-hc and the new dell E248wfp?

Apart from the obvious specs etc. The newer one is a lot cheaper than the 2407 and any idea on difference between the 2 2407's

Main difference to understand is that the 2407WFP models use S-PVA panel technology, while the E248WFP uses TN Film: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/panel_technologies.htm

2407WFP was the original version of the screen, and only real difference when they updated to the HC (HighColor) edition is that they changed the backlighting to offer an extended colour gamut covering 92% of the NTSC colour space instead of the usual 72%. However, Dell also changed the panel slightly, and there are some unfortunate ghosting issues on the HC model.

The E248WFP is TN Film based though, and also has fewer features. That's main difference really.
