nah like i said were talking around low end 7800 GT range of prices, not even considering SLI or crossfire.

semi-pro waster said:Well then that does firm up my recommendation for the 512mb X1800XT, if you are going to be gaming then I'd say that card is impossible to beat for the money. I think that 512mb Ram will be a big benefit at the sorts of resolutions that your monitor is capable of but if not then you could look to the X1800XT 256mb which is a little more expensive but a lot more capable than the 7800gt![]()

BubbySoup said:Sadly, "£190", "good for gaming" and "Dell 2405" do not fit well in the same sentence![]()
BubbySoup said:Well, the Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-044-CO) can be had this week only for £211.44
That's £21.44+p&p over budget but would be the minimum I would recommend for the 2405.

For the lastest FPS games you really need something like the x1900xt-x or 7900gtx for single cards.or two 7800gtx,7800gt,7900gt in sli..
Most racing games can get away with lower spec cards.(apart from need for speed.most wanted).
Goes by what settings your hoping to run your games at as well..
anything will be a humongamassive improvement!
DaveMac said:Does the 2405 scale well, allowing a lower spec card to be used?
Exentia said:Simple enough which one would be better for a Dell 2405 ATI or Nvidia and we're talking around the 7800 and equivelant in ATI cardageoh and it will be used for gaming aswell.
