Moving to a new desk, wanted to adjust the height.

Pressed little rectangular button on base of stand and no movement up or down.

Took panel off and try to adjust stand, pressing button and pulling hard (and I'm no geeky weakling :D ) - and no movement

Am I missing something or is my stand stuck at that height?

The Button just locks the stand at its lowest point. They can get stuck. Try holding the button in and pushing the screen down firmly then back up, I think it will finally release.

I'm sure I have read posts exactly like this before. I found this in the dell forums

"There is a trick to unlocking it:

First, push the screen straight down with one hand (it will move down a few millimeters or so from its current position).

While holding the screen down, push the rectangular button that is on the back of the stand. You will notice that the button pushes all the way in now that you are holding the screen at its lowest position.

Then, while holding that button down with one hand, raise the screen with the other. You should now be able to raise and lower your monitor screen freely.

The trick is to push the monitor screen all the way to the bottom (until it goes no further) before pusing the button."

Hope that helps.
