First OCUK have a price drop of the above for a week. Then another competitor.

I have my heart set on one, but don't need it for a couple of months. What to do? Dive in when there is a sale, or expect a general price drop in 2 months?

ps I don't think I've broken forum rules, but if I have - no offense.

Well unless it's a sugnificant drop in price, it really isn't worth buying one now, if you don't need or actually want one for a few months?
In a few months you may see something else that you would prefer....

The new "HC" version of the 2407 should be around within a couple of months, so you could either go for that or take advantage of the (hopefully) resulting bargains to be had on the current model.

Good advice.

The price drops are results of clearing stock for the new HC monitors to come in, I would imagine. If you can afford to wait like you say, pick yourself up a HC version for similar money or as voodooflux said, pick up a non-HC version for cheaper still.

Very good point - thank-you. I just googled the HC version, and it's got favourable reviews. Note in the States it can be had for $680!! That's £340 to the likes of you and I. Very occasionally, I wish I was in America!
