The 2407 - What's the bottom line?
Basically, I need to get a new monitor pronto...and my weapon of choice is a 24".
I can't wait for BenQ to get their act together, and at £700 plus I am not sure that I want to.
This leaves me with the Dell, which I can get for £500, zero dead pixels guaranteed, checked for banding etc., plus 4 yrs on-site.
I will use this purely as a PC monitor on a new PC that I am about to buy the bits for, based on an Nvidia card somewhere in the region of a 7900 GTO (budget £200 ish).
The bottom line is...
When I am not running this screen at 1920 x 1200 (ie. native res.) will it maintain the correct aspect ratio's with other resolutions through DVI - 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 1024 etc., or will it scale them to fit the screen.
Secondly, if I want it to scale none native resolutions to fit the screen, do I have to do this through the Nvidia drivers or are the settings for aspect ratio selectable.
If any users of the 2407 can shed some light, I would greatly appreciate it.
