Dell 2407 VGA Problem ? (PS3/DVI Hookup Too)

right just hooked up the ps3 to the dvi which is greeeaat and ive reverted to using VGA for the computer... problem is its not auto adjusting right and not filling (1920x1200) the screen like the DVI hook up did ? will i have to manually adjust the screen and how basically theres as i cant find settings either on the monitor or on my computer ?

Fixed it. The new cable i had bought cant be up to scratch as i put an old vga cable i had from my spares box and worked fine :s just have to get another one longer as this old one is too short.
