Dell 2407 WFP USP problems

Having some issues where if I plug my iPhone in, Windows tells me the device is unrecognised. It works fine directly off the motherboard, and if I unplug the link cable going to the monitor and plug it back in again.

Any ideas?

I nearly bricked my iphone years back if i had my dell monitor USB hub plugged in.

Have left it unplugged ever since.

I've found the USB in my 2407 to be a bit flaky sometimes - just don't use it any more.

Unplug it and use the USB ports on your PC.

That will fix it.

Been using USB on mine since 2007 without a hitch.
