hello all

i got a small query here, i got the 2407 and was thinking about buying a Xbox360 and hooking it up to the screen for 1080P?

can some one tell me if thats possible or anyone has done and if so can some one tell me how, what i need to buy and to do so pls?

Cheers

get a xbox 360 VGA cable and thats all you need to connect to the monitor.

i have the setup for months and cant really fault it.

btw most games are 720p and it gets upscaled to 1080p

yea thats the cable.
my pc is always on. using the cable provided when you buy the vga cable, i connected it through line in on my soundcard. I get sound from my pc speakers.

Sorry to bump it, but mine has arrived this morning.

Is it not better to connect via Component ? Thanks..

Also how do you get sound when connecting via component - New to the HD era! ;)

I've got both and prefer the VGA connection, better options for resolutions and picture settings.

I run in 1080p in 1:1 so you get thin bars top and bottom.

like ultim I use the line in on the soundcard/motherboard, you need a y connector which is two phono sockets to a 3.5 'headphone' plug.

You get one with the official 360 VGA cable, both 360 and PS2 official leads have phono audio outs, the 360 cable has an optical digital out as well

Aaah cheers. So basically just swap the wires for each device into speakers.

As I have 360 (red white) going into a phono plug thing.

Then I just have the Red white from ps2 component to phno plug thing.

Then when I want sound on pc just put in the green one ?

Thanks

Also is the PS2 good quality on it through Component?

Previously I had a 2405FPW which wouldn't do 1080p over component - is this now available on the 2407FPW model?
