Dell 2407WFP-HC or Hyundai W241D

Which one would you go for?

I need it for office and games. It also needs to have HDMI.

Just realised Dell does not have HDMI so that is out of the question. :mad:

There is also the Samsung 245T.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Have you considered the BenQ FP241W?

Yes I have considered the FP241W but I've heard it has 1:1 mapping problems and other issues. I also wanted a black model but you can't seem to get them in the UK.

I'm seriously leaning towards the Hyundai W241D now as it seems to have all I want. But there are no reviews and hence might be a bit of a risk.

I really do not know.

I have the 2407WFP-HC and have no problems with ghosting, luck of the draw i suppose.

Hi,

I was very close to buying the Dell as it look wise it's beautiful but it does not have HDMI which rules it out for me. I will be need to hook my laptop using this.

I am very tempted by the Hyundai and I think I may place my order soon.

What do you think? I hope there is no ghosting.

REV00 monitors have ghosting problems. Not sure if there is a new rev out.

a lot of people are very happy with the HC and don't get these ghosting problems including myself.

So get an HDMI-DVI convertor.

You just don't notice it. I bet money that every single HC has ghosting problems if you know how to expose the problem.

Anyhow at least were both remotely happy with our purchases.... well im not cos my screen+PCs on sale again lol

Think ill be waiting till Feb and see if theres any better screens out there my samsung 245B is still plenty good but I can see what people talk about TN panels now that ive got it....

How can you say what I notice or don't notice? I'm not going to go over it all again because I've posted a lot on this already but I have seen the ghosting videos and read the discussions on it as well as copied a lot of the situations as shown on youtube etc. Mine did not ghost and lets face it, you would not be able to miss ghosting like some of the videos had. Can't say anymore than that. Just my experience with the HC model.

Mines has no obvious ghosting problems either. Tried to reproduce it but cannot see anything suspect whatsoever. I find it funny people saying that every HC has, as usual with most computer hardware, people who don't own things have an "informed" opinion.

Just got my W241D.

It's big but initial impressions are good and i'm impressed.

I've ran UT3 on it and I see no problems, it runs fast and smooth and I see no ghosting problems (wouldn't know how to spot it if it were there I must say though).

I have personally owened an HC. The videos on youtube are exagerrating the issue for sure. Dell itself has recognized the "problem" if you read the dell discussion forum. Yours doesn't have ghosting. Fine :rolleyes:

Personally, love the LCD. If I had issues, I would sell it and go buy something else, like I usually do with tech. Don't have any however and glad I got it.

Sure. That's what matters. Some are less picky than others. For example i could never live with 1 stuck pixel. Some can.
