Just ordered one ... couldnt resist the price....

Its replacing 2 x NEC 1810X .... surely the screen will be better than these ?
My only reason is these are 1280x1024..... Need a higher res now.

Theyve served me well... wonder what they are worth ???

Also :

Ill be putting the monitor on the wall as opposed to the desk.... is there a good arm (?) that will hold the dell that people can recommend ?
(picture of your setup would be good......:) )

I'm assuming you mean you need more height? Because 2x1280 would be 2560 width

The 2407WFP are at a cracking price atm though. And they are very good monitors too.

well I dont use the stretch mode as the bezels are really thick..... so I guess just the widescreen is what Im looking for .... or will I miss having two monitors ????

I tend to say... have dreamweaver on 1 monitor - and say photoshop on the other.....

not sure if Ive made the right move.... surely I wont need 2 (!) dells ?
wheres santa.....

edit... yeah I guess height --- I have a 17" on my xps 1710 ... and looking at this same page on the laptop is a lot clearer and better format.

It's much better having one bit monitor than having two smaller ones with a big line down the middle. In my opinion anyway...

You'll love it, providing you don't get any stuck/dead pixels. If you do just phone Dell customer services and tell them you want a replacement as you're not happy with the quality. Be sure to specify you want a new, not a refurbished one though.

Also, something you might find useful if you like to work with two (or more) applications at the same time; minimize everything but the windows you want to work on, then right-click on the taskbar and choose 'Tile Windows Vertically/Horizontally'. Vertically's probably best on a widescreen.
