Hi there, i want to connect my sky box to my dell 2407, i realise the monitor has no scart connections so i can only resort to s-video or composite or rgb component

i prefer to use the latter due to better signal quality, ive searched around for some leads and found a cheap one on the bay

basically its a component RGB to scart, R-L audio will go to the speakers and the RGB component to the dell

heres the blurb

A quality RGB component video plus stereo left/right audio cable used for a wide range of audio/video related applications. Commonly used to connect TV, Home Cinema, PC sound/video cards, DVD and Video (VCR) systems.
Pure Copper Conductors
RGB Colour Coded Phono Connectors
Stereo Left/Right Phono Connectors
Signal Flow - RGB to > Scart Plug
Connector A: 21 Pin Scart Plug
Connector B: RCA Phono Plug (5)

Colour: Black
Length: 5 Metres

i dont understand this part:

Signal Flow - RGB to > Scart Plug

i didnt even know you could direct a signal like this one way, if its the case then i dont think it will work???

can anyone shed a bit of light on this please and any other suggestions are welcome :)

thanks

Sounds like they're saying the signal will only flow in the component-to-scart direction, in which case it would be no good for you. I would have to guess then that scart has seperate input and output pins.
