Dell 2407WFP & Xbox 360

Hey,

Got my new Dell 2407WFP last week and an Xbox 360 at the weekend.

My setup is the 360 is plugged in to the monitor using the 3 component connections and then 2 AV cables connected to my PC through the breakout box for the X-Fi soundcard.

I changed the settings on the 360 to go to 1080i but i can't keep it on this setting as you can see obvious refreshing of the screen. I also can't use 1080p as this goes out of the range of the monitor (1920x1200 @ 60Hz).

720p works fine.

So my question is does anyone else have the same setup with their 360 and same monitor and has managed to get 1080i out of it? If so, how?

I use the VGA connectors and use 1080p, crank sharpness down to 30 to get rid of horizontal streaky lines

I didn't really wanna have to buy the VGA cable, is there not another way to do this using the Component cable?

The consensus does seem to be VGA cable with settings to reduce the washed out effect.
