What revision version are Overclockers selling? A02 ???

If it is A01, can I update the firmware to A02? or is that not possible.
Has anyone done this ?

no, firmware is not user flashable - you send the monitor back to Dell and they send you back one with A02, as long as you are experiencing problems that are fixed in the firmware (i.e., you can't just do it to have the latest).

once you do buy this monitor, you can sell me your old monitor.

dont advertise it on the traders market, i do not have access yet!!

My webnote response was that they were A01. Would be even better if they're A02 I guess. We await the Slackworths response.

Slackworth that is some high number of post count you have, can you spare me some, so i can view the trade section :)

Hi All

First post…Great site!!

I have been reading everything I can regards the Dell 2408WFP A00, A01 & A02 revisions before ordering mine last week from Dell UK, hoping that I would get the latest revision.

The monitor arrived yesterday with A01, made in the Czech Republic on the packing box sticker. (I have not opened the box yet, until I decide what to do)

I would have at least expected to have received an A02 revision, as lots of people have been getting them for some time.

Do I have any grounds with Dell with returning the A01 and insisting that I receive the very latest A02 revision monitor or is it just pot luck as far as Dell are concerned? I now wish that I had made this a condition of sale!

I just feel like I’ve purchased a new 2009 spec car and been given the last of the 2008 spec left in the warehouse…

i recieved mine last thursday, its an A02..

there is an old addage that goes " if it aint broke dont fix it!"

i would see how you get on with the A01 ver, ive heard people get replacements if they have had problems, to newer versions, so you can only try

but word of advice my A02 has an interesting problem that i have not solved yet, it keeps intermitantly blinking like its refreshing. if i uninstall the ati 9.6drivers of my XFX 4890 card back to standard VGA it stops!!! but then installed 9.5 and its back Aarrgh!!!

it it the card ./ monitor, or the bloody drivers,,,, my thinking is the drivers but by the latest ones,,,, any one had similar problems,,,
