dell 2408wpf audio out!

Howdy,

Iam trying to set up the above monitor to play sound through it's audio out.
My mobo (in sig) has line in and mic in. But none seem to be playing.

I have tried both a wii and xbox360 both connected via component, and various combonations for the wii, but none seem to work.

Any suggestions?

I would like to purchase a freeviewHD box, but if this isnt going to support sound out then it would be pointless.

Looking at the link below the audio out is only for HDMI connection, are you connecting the items via this.

ah ok. No I'm not.
so a freeviewHD box should be ok?
