Dell 3007 on a Mac quad g5

I was looking at getting a quad g5 and hooking it up with a 3007. I remembered reading in one of the early reviews that the 3007 came without a built in scaler chip and therefore has no OSD menus. With windows Dell provided a driver that incorporated into the Forceware drivers from Nvidia to control the screen brightness etc.

So the question is just if it is possible to use the 3007 with a Mac and if there is something I should be aware with that combination. Thanks in advance for any assistance

It will be mostly used for SDTV video editing possibly some HDTV editing in the future, and the 6600 and 7800GT both have a single dual-link DVI and a single-link DVI output, so they both support one 30incher and a smaller screen. If I want to drive 2*30 screens I will have to go with the Quadro FX4500 which has 2 dual link DVI outputs.

So I know that the 30 cinema displays from apple work, but just wanted to check and see if 3007 also would work as it seems to be the same LCD panel as the 30 Apple but a different choice in the electronics choice driving the panel.

It seems like it should work though, just wanted to hear if anyone had any other opinions
