Workmate got a 3007WFP off ebay for just over £500 - he seemed chuffed about it but I will wait for its arrival and his comments = I have not seen the auction myself but I am guessing there "Must" be something off with it if the seller let it sale at that price!

Not so! That's how I got mine :)

Worth every penny.

A lot of these cheap monitors are cheap because they are sourced outside the Dell EU/EMEA channel. If this is the case then the Dell warranty may not be valid in the UK. Anyone who has one should ring up Dell and check just in case.

I only had 90 days from Dell. Fortunately, I got an extra year from my credit card.

i thought these were all refurbishments..

around £500 and 3 month warranty..

I paid £525 delivered but it was a 'buy or best offer' job, so that might be why.

i know that supplier, and they are not new (if its who im thinking of) they are refurbs.

ive been watching the supply of these for some time now and have never seen them at that price as new..

all new ones come with 3 years warranty
all refurbs come with 90 days warranty

maybe i missed something..

I checked the service tag on the Dell site (to be sure) and it seems to be new; it was sold as such.

There was quite a glut of 3007s at the time (around three months ago), so that might have depressed the price. My friend got a refurb a week or so before for £420!

no mate, i fell for the same thing some time ago. Bought Reub and found out that the monitor had 3 years on the service tag, was so happy and rang up to get have the monitor replaced because it had developed a fault. Only to find out that it was registered in someone else's name. When i did find out the name person who it was registered to(the seller did not know the name and dell would not tell me either, it was nothing short of hell for me to get this) they told me that i cant get the guarantee as i need the original order number that it was registered under. So i sent the monitor back and got a refund and bought a new one.

anyhow check first to find out if it has been registered under someone else's name, as they will be usually if they are refurb.

Yep man, 100% correct. I mean if these lcds had 3 year warranty on it then the ebay seller would advertise it that way to get more sales instead of saying 30 - 90 days warranty !

Been looking for a while at these but decided not to get one as i like gaming and can't afford dual 8800 GTX to run games. Also im sure in the future games like crysis will run like a dog at 2560 res on single cards.
