My issues with my x99 build appear never ending :(
Now it is my very pretty cuved monitor that appears to be playing up.

Bought new less than 3 months ago. Did seem that it might have issues - when trying to run standard display port the monitor would black out every now and then ; couple of seconds , then bsck on. - sometimes it would turn itself off as it were not receiving a signal.
Was going to return but got it working without any idsues , I thought , by using mini display cable, which appeared to the trick.
But today I had it on all day and guess what - as I am on the internet it suddenly ( no warning) went black. Light is on, screen goes black for s srcond or two and then back to full screen. It did it a few times. Left it on the desktop and asked better hslf to have s look; as we both watched the screen went black for s couple of seconds before recovering. Again no warning and monitor on light remains on throughout.
Later had a 2 hr gaming session and no issues.
Got any ideas as to what is going on.?
Not a driver issue.
Not a gpu issue.
Was running a dgm 27" without any problems at all before this and it is still good.
I assume swap out via Dell is the only option. Just the screen is otherwise perfect

Ok ,. I thought I was just just a problem with my setup, until I read this..I too am having the same problem with the same monitor. Mainly when playing one game (Elder Scrolls Online). If I swap displays I can play for hours and hours and no "blanking"..flip back to the Dell and happens..it's like the Dell is losing sync with the GPU for about 5-10 seconds.. then comes back.

Hmm between this and the daisy chaining not working, looks like this is going back to Dell.

Bit difficult to read but this is a known problem with the hardware in those 34"ers. If you're not running DisplayPort 1.2 (known to cause that) then I'd send it back.

Sorry if being a bit thick :o but not sure if I should be running 1.2 or not.

I am running it at the moment - should I disable it?

And was your comment in answer to my post or to the post by @md_guy or both?

I've been running mine on 1.2 from the get-go and it's been fine. Good luck with your issue not returning!

I had this problem when I first had mine did some reading and as far as I know if you are running a amd gfx card it can cause problems if you are running 1.2, I switched to 1.1 and not had a problem since
