Hoping some of you have experience with this specific issue I have with Dell.
Basically we have a 1 year old MD1200 hooked up to a 5 year old server via a PERC H810 (6G). I want to replace the server but still use the MD1200 but Dell do not support the 6G SAS boxes any more and only provide 12G solutions.
I would have thought it would be backwards compatible but Dell are having none of it. Apparently you can't use an MD1200 with a PERC H830.
Googling has mixed results and although I wouldn't really want to implement a solution that wasn't supported, I may have to at this point. Currently looking for a new PERC H810, if possible.
