Hello to all,
Although this is my first post so SOLUTION is highly expected.
I have dell inspiron N5010. When I start my laptop 8 beep sound appears with no display.
I searched about it on google so i concluded it was LCD failure.
I contacted dell about it so they said it was lcd failure and it would cost Rs 11000. My system is 3 year old so they advised to make system in warranty which would cost me Rs 8000 + 11000(for lcd ) + (if problem found with golden parts or non golden parts i.e 11000 and 5000 respectively ).
If i dont opt for warranty then also Rs 11000 for lcd + cost of problem found with mother board or video card or other golden parts and also I have to make payment beforehand for lcd Rs 11000 and if other problem is found then I have to pay accordingly ( which could be very high as per budget) or my Rs 11000 ( for lcd ) is waste. I cant afford it.
Now story begins......
2 days back I decided to disassemble my laptop . I unplugged and plugged display cable ,, removed my cmos battery for 15 minutes then assembled everything. Surprisingly my laptop started with with no error.
I ran all the diagnosis... dell diagnosis ( F12) No problem were found either with lcd or memory or hardware.All the test were successfully passed..,
TO my utmost satisfaction i ran windows diagnosis again no problem were found.Then suddenly my laptop was shutdown automatically showing ATI DISPLAY DRIVER ERROR. so i downgraded the ATI version to the one which was provided by dell (DRIVER CD).
EVERYTHING WENT FINE TILL YESTERDAY MORNING.
AGAIN When i opened my laptop 8 beep sound was there with no display.
So this time I connected my laptop with external desktop monitor..i was able to get display on external monitor but sometimes horrible graphics were generated.. but i was advised to connect with external monitor through HDMI cable but couldn't.
now i could feel that "When it is dark enough, you can see the stars."
so after trying all this,my laptop is starting normally and I am able to post here but sometimes it becomes matter of LUCK AS OUT OF 5 try , 2 is success rate.
My dell config is i3 processor,4 gb ram,500 gb HD,512 mb graphics card.My bios has latest update i.e A15.
SO please suggest what is the problem ,,the problem is with lcd monitor or cable or what ???
Please guide me as I am in terrible situation ..any help will be highly appreciated.
