My friend has screwed his netbook up, cannot boot at all.
I have created a bootable USB stick have tried many methods including PEbuilder which I got to boot but would not install fresh version of XP.
Have also stuck I386 folder onto stick and started the install but get error that I need 535mb of space for tempory files.
Have tried fdisk but seems to only do 2048mb as a maximum.
Seems like the install cannot find the SSD.
I am pully my hair out, can someone give me a surefire method of getting a new copy of XP on this netbook.
Not sure what state the SSD is in now as I have probably deleted this and that.
How can something so easy be so hard.
Is there a way I could share a CD drive via the network boot on the 910 netbook.
Thanks for any help as it is doing my head in now.

Do you have access to an external cd drive? that would be the easiest option compared to messing around trying to get fdisk working ect.
