Going to strip out my parents old P4 Dell machine next week and planning to shove in a new C2D/board/ram. The thought has just occurred to me however, that Dell being the ***** that they are, have probably designed part of their cases/cabling to be unusable with non standard parts. Has anyone any experience with this and can advise either way? Won't be round to look at the case myself until next week and hoping to have all the parts accrued by then. Case is this one -
Next question; if I can't use the case, can anyone suggest a nice CHEAP little mid/mATX case that a couple approaching 60 won't find to nasty. They like the current case, but anything with insane vents and blue lights will end with them crying
Build is probably going to be an E6850 on a mATX board, with single slot graphics, so HTPC is an option. Not seen anything that's cheap and fits the bill aesthetically though. Suggestions please!
