Dell delays

I ordered Dell Studio 17 with I7 processor on 09/12/09 the only option I chose was having a blue lid.I have been given an estimated delivery date of 01/02/2010.Does it normally take this long? Is it lack of processors or the lid colour option that is causing the delay?

Don't know the reason, but Blu-Ray drives have vanished as an option :mad:

Xmas stock issues - on Blu-Ray drives? Wierd...

Normally you can phone up and they can tell you if there is a specific part that is holding up your order..

Interestingly enough I've just ordered two E6500s for work, then got an email from our account manager saying there is a 15day lead time on the screens
