I am upgrading the above machine for my friend.
The only components which are still original inside the case are the mobo, cpu and 80gb Samsung Hard Drive.
I replace the Copper CPU with a Startech 478 Fan/Heatsink.
The Chassis Fan with a Arctic Cooling F9 PWM REV.2 90mm.
The problem I have run into is the startech uses a standard 3 pin pwm plug yet the mobo is a weird dell one (a type 3) does anybody know where I can get a dell to 3 pin adapter or swap the wires from the old fan to the dell plug. The dell wires were white/red.black and the startech are blue/red/black.
The second problem is the Arctic F9 it uses a 4 pin pwm. I would like to connect this to a Molex connector. The wire colours on the Arctic are black/yellow/green/blue. Does anybody know of an adapter or which wires I chop to connect directly to a 12v source.
