Dell E228WFP Refresh rate

Mornin all ,

just got my new screen at work and set up fine at 1680x1050 @ 60hz.

Have read though that it is supposed to run @59hz ?

I for the life of me cannot found a way to put it into 59hz , will only allow 60.

Getting a slight headache , mussy head although not sure if this is me getting used to a bigger workspace than my tv at home !!

Using the official Dell driver from their site.

Any help appreciated.

it's designed to run at an optimum and recommended refresh rate of 60Hz. No reason to change it off, and not sure where this 59Hz has come from?

regardless, TFT's don't operate in the same way as CRT's and so it wouldn't make any difference to headaches / how the screen looks in normal use. see here for a bit more info on it

So in your opinion do you the think the headache is down to me moving from a 17" to a 22" ws ?

possibly, although could be down to it being set at too high a brightness perhaps? try turning that down a little....
