Hi all,

I've just been given a 23" dell monitor as payment for a job, it's a generic one for office use I think but thought it'd be decent enough next to my Benq 24".

Model number is E2310H after checking the back of it.

However, the text on here is so soft it's silly, especially when compared to the BenQ.

Input is either VGA or DVI-D, and resolution is 1920 x 1080.

I feel like I've been drinking while looking at it. Is it just a faulty unit or is there anyway of correcting it?

Hi there,

When it looks fuzzy, is that connected via the DVI connection?

Also, do you have any spare cable to try out?

Finally, may I ask what graphics card you are running?

It's running though the VGA port. I've set it to default options, improved a tiny amount but its still an issue.

Graphics card is a 7800GTX, old but still works well and doesn't have any issues when connecting the 17" one alongside the benq.

I'll have to check the cables tomorrow, wife will kill me if I start going through boxes as 5am :D

I think it may be the VGA connection then. Some monitors handle it well - others not so much.

I'm sure if you plug it in via the digital connection (DVI-D) the fuzziness will evaporate.
