Dell Inspiron 15 5000 (5570) maximum M2 size?

I've currently got a 256gb drive installed, looking to upgrade to a 1tb+ drive, but everything seems to point towards a 512gb maximum size.

Has anyone got anything larger installed in one, or can point me in the right direction to see if I can install something bigger? Thanks.

There's no reason for the capacity to be limited. What is 'everything'?

The Dell website and a few posts on Dell forums suggest a 512gb limit, but perhaps this has been upped with recent firmware updates.

I think it's far more likely that those were the capacities available when that model was launched. I can't see there'd be any hardware limitation that could restrict the capacity.
