Dell Inspiron 6000 power plug with centre pin

My daughter has just ruined her 2nd power adapter - she has broken off the small centre pin so it doesn't charge the battery any more!

Anybody know if it is possible to buy these centre pin power plug to repair the power adapter?

replacement adapter needed, repair would be imposible as they're moulded from the factory.

Yes - but £37 vs 50p and 10 mins with a soldering iron!

agreed , although having a think about it i have seen some tips that you can make up yourself, abit like DIY phone leads if you get my drift. That should work better than a repair to the existing cable.
