dell inspiron 640 memeory query

according to dell this laptop can take 2gb of ram but ive already got 1gb in,but when i open it up to check the ram there is only 1 slot which has 512mb ram in it but system says 1gb is in,now how do i go about fitting 2gb when there is only 1 slot,cheers

The other slot is underneath the keyboard. I had a 630m which I upgraded to 1GB (from 512MB). There are instructions on how to do it on the Dell website.
