Dell Inspiron Mini 9

Currently looking for a netbook and the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 looks pretty nice especially with the £50 off offer at the moment. However, I have a few questions I can't find an answer to.

It comes with Ubuntu 8.04 on a 8GB SSD. Is it possible to hook up a USB DVD Drive to install a Copy of WinXP I have lying about?

Is 8GB enough to store WinXP and all of it's updates e.t.c?

Is there anything better for the price at £229?

May as well spend another £18 to get a Lenovo S10e (on special offer too) which has a "normal" 160GB HDD, comes with XP Home pre-installed and throw in a 2GB memory for £20 then you're all set. I'm not sure if it's worth it to sacrifice 160GB for a mere 8GB of SSD.
