dell laptop only showing one core

my dell laptop is only showing one core under task manager, i've checked the bios and dual core support is selected, and there are 2 cores showing under device manager, is it normal to show only 1 under task manager ?, the cpu is a T5200 @1.6ghz dual core and i'm running visa home premium.

nope it says ACPIx86-based pc

i did do a fresh install when i got the laptop to get rid of all the pre installed junk, have i done something wrong when doing the install.

it's already set on one graph per cpu.

i've downloaded "Intel® Processor Identification Utility", and it shows both cores to be working so it looks like it's working ok but not showing up in task manager for some reaseon.
