Dell laptops

After spilling a full glass of water over my laptop I’ve ordered an Inspiron 1525.
I haven’t had a computer from a shop for some time and was wondering if it’s worth formatting the laptop when it arrives and putting a clean install of vista on to get rid of dells pre installed software or is this not needed anymore?

Thanks, When I got my Acer laptop over a year ago now it came with a corrupt XP so I formated straight away any way.

The order is now at the state were the delivery company will phone to arange a date.

I dont think I'll format as soon as I get it.. Maybe in a few weeks time.

Binned the OS as soon as i got it, didnt even boot it fully before. As for drivers all you need is the gfx ones and the touchpad ones and thats it really. No key needed its easy to do the Vista install, as for delivery it goes from pre-production to delivery quickly just keep checking the track and trace.

Got the laptop today. Is there any way to get rid of the dell partition and merge the free space back without formating?
