Dell Latitude 5420 with dual front web cams but only one cover

I have a Dell Latitude 5420 which has two web cam holes on the front bezel. Same as can be seen in this image here:

There is a physical privacy slider which blocks just the right side lens but the left side lens is still uncovered. Does anyone know why this the privacy cover is just for the right lens only? Seems a bit odd to have a physical privacy slider but it only work for one lens.

Because the left hand camera is purely an IR camera for Windows Hello proximity sensing and the like?

Even if it's an IR camera, I still feels a privacy slider on it would have been useful.
