Hey guys, i'm intending to get a Dell monitor, but wondering what panels do they use

I'm considering this 2 models,
Dell E207WFP
Dell E228WFP

Thanks

I am pretty sure they both use TN panels so you will get restricted viewing angles, i had a Dell E207WFP was a nice monitor just head movement was noticeable with the angles which annoyed me, so sold that at no loss and just this afternoon ordered the more pricey Dell Ultra sharp 2007WFP 20" which uses a Phillips S-IPS panel and has far far superior viewing angles.

This from another thread in here someone posted showing the angles on there 2007wfp.

All the 'E' monitors seem to use TN panels.

Wikipedia have an excellent guide to Dell monitors, showing which panels are used by each model:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_monitors

There are some links at the end of that page, to other websites which explain the technology behind each panel type. They show the advantages/disadvantages of each panel in playing DVDs, PC Games, XBox, etc.

hmm, i'm actually planning to change my vp930b to a 22" TFT..
dont really mind that they are using TN panels as they seem fine for me, dont use it for photo editing anymore..

which 22" TFT do u guys reccommend?
