Back at the beginning of the month I ordered a Laptop from Dell, unfortunatley, demand has far exceeded demand and it's not going to be available until the middle of April.

Does anyone know if I can cancel the order?

If so I need your help finding a replacement, I've looked around but I can't find anything nearly as good for the same price.

Heres the spec:

Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 (2.0GHz,800MHz,2MB)
15.6in Widescreen WXGA with TrueLife - CCFL
Integrated 1.3 Mega Pixel Camera
3072MB (1x2048 + 1X1024) 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel
320GB Serial ATA (5400RPM)
8X DVD+/-RW Drive including software
Targus City Gear 17in Nylon Messenger Carrycase
Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD
Europe Dell Bluetooth 365 Card

It's replacement must have a C2D cpu, atleast 3GB of ram, Bluetooth, Webcam, Resonable hard drive and no bigger than a 16" screen.

Finally the laptop must not cost more than £450.

Might be worth looking at one of the Dell resellers?

I got my Studio 17 from an Ebay store that delt with some of Dells returns, £433 off the retail price with 4 yr warranty

Yes, you can cancel the order. Just phone up customer support, quote your customer number at them and ask if you can cancel. I'm sure its covered by some sort of regulations anyway if they refuse, which they shouldn't.

They will cancel without any problems, they let me down on 5 servers not long ago which they had over a month to deliver to me. Luckily Hp come through the next day and had them on my doorstep.

If you really want that model you will probably find it in one of their outlets as mentioned earlier, otherwise spec one up from there competitors and hit them where it hurts.
