the wife turned it off last night now all it does when powered on is the power light blinks holding down Fn gives me 3 very short solid lock lights and a blink on the wifi from looking around that spells a MB failure 
i did have her apart and a few resistors look very suspicious see below......
never seen red gunk around resistors ?
