Good afternoon all,

I have just recently picked up a Mini 9 netbook (as you may guessed!) , am thinking of upgrading the 8Gb SSD drive to a 16 or 32Gb but am struggling to find UK stockists? I don't believe ocuk stocks these so I hope I am not asking people to break rules, if I am then please disregard.

Also can you recommend me a quick SD card, there appears to be different classes but I am not sure of the advantages/disadvantages etc. Also would I lose a great deal of performance using a mini-SD card via an SD adapter at all?

Cheers,

David

Thanks for your replies. I have ordered a 16Gb Runcorn, just enough to squeeze Windows on there :)

I was looking at the Transcend cards so the fact you have one up and working is great news to me.

Thanks,

David

Will probably chuck Windows 7 (Beta) I reckon, really impressed with that so should be ok. Upgraded the memory already to 2Gb so all should be well.

Nice move ;) I would have gone for the 32Gb if I could justify the extra cost of what was to be a "toy" that wouldn't cost much!!!

Hopefully my SSD is due tomorrow so I'll give it a go over the weekend. How does Vista run on your's by the way?

If Vista runs at a fair pace then I have hope for Windows 7 running quite smoothly. Any platform (unless massively underpowered) seems to run the new OS pretty well.

I'll let you know anyway when the nice person from UPS delivers my SSD!

I'm running Windows 7 on there now and it runs great. I have turned off a things like hibernate etc for disk space reasons but otherwise no problems at all. I have left XP on there too for comparison and I would say it runs equally as well on the same hardware.

Impressive stuff really from Microsoft with this OS.
