Dell Monitor Faulty

My dell U2913WM has magenta spots on a black screen with a smudge like mark the monitor is only 5 week old. Also is flickering on certain colour screens?

Any advice

Try it on a different computer/dvd player/console etc and make sure everything is at factory defaults. If the problem persists return it.
