Dell monitor with HDMI

I have a camera with an HDMI connection, my intention is to connect the camera directly to the monitor, do Dell do any monitors (24" or bigger) which can support this, not sure if I need HDMI input or output though

You need a HDMI input, as your camera is the output device and the monitor is the input device.

I have a Dell U3014 (30 inch), and this has a HDMI input.

OK, I now have another Dilemma

The camera only supports 1920 x 1080, so I've narrowed it down to these two Dell monitors

U2415 (1920 x 1200)
U2417 (1920 x 1080)

The U2415 seems the better of the two, but will the image be distorted if only displaying at 1080 instead of 1200?

If it's anything like my U3415w it will have a 1:1 pixel display mode, which basically means it will display the 1920x1080 image with black bars at the top and bottom
