specs added for comparison help requested

Was thinking of buy the {EDIT} pc below..possible tweekin the spec alittle..

Think its an ok deal but probaly not the fastest thing out there for the moeny..thoughts and ideas be greatly recieved.
Woud like to build my own but really have little or no idea where to go if im honest with regards to parts and hardware nowadays..
Buget is £1000 or so but id like a 19 inch monitor with that if at all poss.Willing to loose the monitor if something special appears.Dont need DVDR as I have one.

dont buy an "edit" there a rip off most of the time

buy the parts and build it ** self , look for guids on the net , "how tos" and stuff like that. its how i learnd and i havnt had any problems yet :eek:

the os install woul dbe the main one to get , and just get the guys on hear to give u a spec check

The specs for 'off the peg' high-street or mass manufactured systems can look good on paper, but it's what they don't tell you that can cause future issues.

These system builders often commision motherboards that only have the base specific connections, chipsets and upgrade slots required by the hardware going into the machine. So, when you come to upgrade you might find you don't have any extra headers on the motherboard for USB, firewire, extra graphics cards, RAM etc.

Furthermore they will use proprietary (non-standard) pin-outs for their motherboard headers that make changing components a nightmare - I've seen people set their computers on fire when attempting to attach standard devices to their non-standard motherboard!!!

A custom system, whether you have OcUK or another company build it, need not cost (much) more but will ultimately offer more expansion possibilities, and better performance. Building it yourself is even more fun and the sense of accomplishment is great.
 
So could I have some ideas of what sort of thing i need to be looking at.
Dont want a top end gaming pc as I cant afford the £1500 but got a budget of £1000 or so...
